Meet Shannon Reagan, M.A.T.

Experience:

Shannon Reagan is a learning specialist dedicated to helping students build strong academic foundations and grow in confidence as learners. In June 2025, she co-founded The Learning Loop alongside Tammy Rice to create a space where instruction is intentionally designed around each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Shannon holds a Master of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She began her career at The Lab School of Washington, a nationally recognized independent school for students with language-based learning differences, where she designed individualized reading, writing, and math instruction for students with diverse learning profiles.

After working in Washington, DC as both a classroom educator and micro-school leader, Shannon returned to Palm Beach County and served as a Lower School Learning Specialist at an independent school, where she developed and implemented a formal academic support program for the lower division. In this role, she collaborated closely with teachers and families to identify learning needs and provide targeted academic intervention.

Expertise & Specialty:

Shannon’s instruction is grounded in the science of reading and research-based learning practices that support skill development step by step. She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach through the Institute for Multisensory Education and has completed both Comprehensive and Morphology Plus training.

Her instruction integrates evidence-based frameworks including UFLI Foundations, multisensory math practices, and The Writing Revolution to support reading, writing, and math development in a connected and meaningful way. She is also familiar with the Wilson Reading System and uses it thoughtfully to complement structured literacy instruction.

Shannon specializes in identifying foundational skill gaps and designing targeted intervention that helps students build both competence and confidence as learners.
