The Learning Loop Philosophy:
Tailored Strategies. Tangible Results.
At The Learning Loop, our philosophy is simple: instruction should be as individual as the child receiving it. We believe meaningful progress happens when teaching is intentionally designed around a student’s unique strengths and needs.
Our work is rooted in research-based practices, careful observation, and ongoing assessment. We build skills step by step, adjusting instruction as children grow, so learning is purposeful and effective. We also believe relationships matter. When children feel safe, understood, and encouraged, they are more willing to take risks—and that’s when real growth happens.
Working With The Learning Loop:
Clear Support. Meaningful Progress.
Working with The Learning Loop is a collaborative and transparent experience. Families are true partners in the process, with clear communication, thoughtful explanations, and regular insight into progress.
Students experience structured, supportive sessions that are tailored to their needs and designed to build confidence and independence. Instruction is focused, engaging, and responsive—always guided by data and adjusted to ensure continued growth.
At The Learning Loop, tailored strategies lead to tangible results—and learning becomes an empowering journey for both students and families.
-
We primarily support students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade, though older students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
We begin with benchmark screenings and informal assessments to understand decoding, encoding, fluency, comprehension, writing, and math skills. Instruction is then tailored based on those results.
-
We use Orton-Gillingham methods (IMSE), UFLI Foundations, Heggerty, Multisensory Math, and The Writing Revolution. Lessons follow a structured, evidence-based sequence.
-
Most families choose 2–3 sessions per week for optimal growth, but we create a schedule that works for each child.
-
Yes. Parents receive regular communication, skill summaries, and data that show growth over time.
-
Absolutely. We work closely with classroom teachers, special educators, OTs, SLPs, psychologists, and learning teams to support consistent goals.
-
In-person sessions are preferred due to the multisensory nature of our instruction.
-
Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. Frequency and duration are determined based on age, stamina, and the intensity needed.
-
We ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations when possible, and we do our best to reschedule missed sessions depending on availability.

Since starting with The Learning Loop, I have seen a huge leap in my son’s reading ability- so much so that he is now independently reading at grade level after just a few months. The best part is, he loves to go!

On behalf of the Ragosa family, I am writing to share how much we continue to value the wonderful experience of working with Tammy Rice and The Learning Loop. Mrs. Rice’s thoughtful approach to teaching has made a significant impact on Ryan’s confidence and academic growth, particularly regarding her reading and writing abilities. Thank you for everything you do and for the positive environment you have created for Ryan’s development.

Mrs. Rice and Mrs. Reagan have been a tremendous support for our son. They have worked with him for 2 plus years in the school setting and now at The Learning Loop. They have always gone above and beyond finding fun ways to keep him engaged while still providing excellent reading and learning support. Their methods are innovative and personalized. They keep my son engaged and interested in learning. They provide helpful feedback and clear goals for him to continue being a successful reader and student.
